Katniss and Peeta used their skills and talents to show their abilities to survive for the upcoming Hunger Games. Katniss even thought she will score really low for her stunt but something unexpected happened. If you were chosen to be one of the players of the Hunger Games, how will you convince the Gamekeepers to give you a high score. What particular talent will you use and how will you use it? (Make sure that your talent and act will be original).
I am a jack of all trades. I fair well with many things but I cannot refine any one skill, without risking losing in others. So I would show my resourcefulness by attracting the gamemakers with more than one skill all at once. I work well with close quarters combat, know how to throw a few spears, and have a great idea of what is edible and deadly. So either more or less, its just a 50-50 chance for what my score will be. From a low 4 to a high 10.
ReplyDeleteI'm good in marksmanship. I would try convincing the Gamekeepers by showing them how good my aim is when it comes to moving targets. I'm also good at making traps. So if I don't win them over with my first talent, then i'll just build a trap or something.
ReplyDeleteI think I've acquired many skills from the sports I've been playing for several years. One of my better talents would have to be my ability to maneuver myself through and around obstacles and spaces. I would try to display this talent to impress the judges. I would maybe deflect off walls or something to fling toward myself so I can show them how easily I can dodge them. Hopefully that gets me a decent score.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have a talent that could relate to this, but if I can use a talent it would be somewhat similar to Elayne's own. Since I have played football and rugby, I am able to hit or bring down things bigger than me. I am able to move quickly from one point to another. Last, but not least, I am able to see things that would come my way and I would try to avoid it. With these skills, I am able to show the judges what I can do and maybe that would help me get a high score.

ReplyDeleteWell, being the person I am, I am very enegertic and pretty agile. I can use my speed as an advantage and also quickly develop new skills from my trainer. Im like a sponge. I can absorb new knowledge being taught to me and get it down pretty easily. To impress the judges I would quickly fly through the obstacle and take out any targets quickly as possible and inflict major damage. If they gave me a weapon Id do my best to learn and manipulate that weapon. Turn it into something its not and use it at my advantage. I like explosives so if I was given some, Id be verrry deadly. I would quickly run around the games and plant explosives anyywhere I could think of. In trees, underground, anywhere. But most of all, Id show the judges confidence because thats probably one of the major things they are looking for.
ReplyDeleteI would probably use my skateboard skills because my skills would help me move around the place. I could use my skateboard as a weapon also so if I need to hit and run it would be very easy for me. How I would make the Gamekeepers give me a high score is probably to have style and cool tricks when im in the games. Style and the crowd would probably help me around the games and probably help me win the game.
ReplyDeleteI guess I would display my sneakiness. Even though I'm a big guy I can sneak around pretty easily. I'm also good with camoflauge which is what makes me good at being sneaky as well. Maybe I would have a bunch of bushes set up and sneak my way up to the gamemakers without them knowing. If they had fire arms in the games I would show my marksmanship. I'm and expert shooter and I can calculate the windage, bullet drop and movement to hit my target. Maybe I would shoot the target from x amount of feet while the target is moving and the wind is blowing. Theres a lot I could show them but yeah.
ReplyDeleteWell I would definitely use my athleticism that I have honed over the years by playing football and baseball. I think the real winner for me though would be my ability to hunt and fish. I've been hunting since I was old enough to walk pretty much, which has given me deadly aim and a vast knowledge of different flora and fauna. Even if I wasn't the greatest at killing other opponents, I would have a great shot at outlasting them. I could also use my deadly good looks, ayyyyyy (;
ReplyDeleteI would show how fast I am. I'm a small guy that can sprint away from any type of danger and I can also hide in very tight corners to do little sneak attacks. I'm not much of a shooter, but I can hold a rifle and maybe hit a target. I don't have any type of useful skills, but I'm willing to learn new things.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to showcase some form of talent, I would probably use my endurance. With the sports I've joined and the PT I do, I feel I'm just above average. During the games, I could probably outrun most people and endure the harsh challenges ahead. In addition, I wouldn't mind learning some new skills with the training provided.
ReplyDeleteIf i was one of the players in Hunger Games I would show my skills in singing and playing guitar. I would probably use singing as a distraction cause they will be serenaded. Then when their distracted boom! Hit them with a guitar. I would probably scare the other players and have them alert because my singing is deadly.
ReplyDeleteI think ill show my fighting skills. Because they would not go for the weak ones not the strong ones. If u show your skills in fighting they would not get you. They would get the weak ones and kill them.
ReplyDeletei would pick baseball..why i would say that is because i am really good at baseball.i been playing baseball for a long time.i would let them know that i am not messing around when it comes to baseball.my dad is the one who made me really good at it.he trained me alot.
ReplyDeleteHonestly I would show survival skills and etc . Because I wanna them to know I'm a survivor I'd do things just to stay alive well not that shady stuff with back stabbing ? But play things smart . I'd probably fight off the ones I encounter by coincidence during the games and try my best to fend them off .Well for talent I'd probably twist some words around to mess with their minds .
ReplyDeleteIf I had to impress the gamekeepers, then I would show them how fast I can hide. I'm pretty short so I can move faster than others. I'm also pretty good with slicing things so maybe I'll show them that. I'll aim at some of the targets with the arrow. Lastly I would make myself blend in with the trees, so no one would see me. I would show the gamekeepers that even if I look weak I might actually have a chance to survive.
ReplyDeletei would choose my ears,because everytime i move them people get amazed by them it's like they haven't seen such thing...i'll call one of the enemy and just say"hey you there me wanna see something amazing?i'll move my ears evrytime he moves up and when the time is right just stab him ...hahha then judges give me extra point for creative kill...haha
ReplyDeleteI'm creative at things on what i have with me. So whatever object I got Ill show the Gamemakers that I could use it. And making traps is pretty cool. So i would use that and surprise them on how good i am in making traps. I think I could run fast. Really fast. So I would hunt down my enemy and catch him.
ReplyDeleteI am very quick. I have great stamina because of all the sports in conditioned in. I have great mentally so I can think of a creative way on building things that are very useful out of the materials that are laying around. I can aim when throwing things too.
