My favorite part of the book was when Amy and O'snat had the sheep shearing contest. It was both hilarious, and exciting because the competitive element. You could really tell that Amy wanted to show O'snat up at her own thing. When they described her sheep at the end it cracked me up because I could picture it in my mind with a mohawk. It was also neat how the dog was able to herd the sheep to do exactly what he wanted it to do.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the book was when Amy and Avi had their first kiss. I pictured it perfectly in my head and I found it really cute. I kind of saw it coming when Avi separated themselves from the rest of the group, but I was still intrigued throughout the whole thing. The way Avi just said "You needed it" made me just as curious as to what he meant as Amy was. I'm a sucker for these kinds of scenes and seeing their relationship grow and progress throughout the book kept me the most interested in reading.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the book is the part when Amy, O'Snot and her friends went to the "disco" and that creep was creeping up on Amy from the other side of the room. It was super hilarious. When he made his way to Amy and they started dancing, I was like, "That's it... He waaants you." And then he started to lick her ear... Classic. That was just nasty.
ReplyDeleteI also loved every part that involved Avi and Amy. I kinda figured that something would happen between the two of them. ((:
I would recommend that anybody should read this book. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors... It's a great book. It's entertaining, it's hilarious (no doubt!)
My favorite part of the book was when Amy was changing in O'snat's room and the person on the other bed was Avi and not O'snat. It was so hilarious! I liked it because by then, I knew that their relationship was going to get mixed up. I knew that things were going to get a little more exciting. It made me look forward to reading more and finding out what was going to happen between O'snat, Amy, and Avi. This book is perfect for young adults. It's got drama, humor, and romance. Anyone who gets a chance to read this book should grab the opportunity. It's entertaining and so typically teen-minded.
ReplyDeleteIn the book, I had so many favorite parts. The first part that was shocking was when Amy fell on Avi and she thought it was Osnat's boyfriend. My other favorite part was when Amy was changing and instead of Osnat being in the room, it was Avi instead. I liked the fact that Avi tried to hide what he felt for Amy.I also found out that he was so mean because his brother just died. It was so sweet of him when he kissed Amy while they were riding the kayak. I was glad him and Amy ended up being together. Although, Amy and her father Ron had a rough start, they ended up being close. She realized that she really loved her father when she thought he died in the bombing. I really liked how the book ended. Even if Amy and Avi were separated, they were still going to see each other during the summer. Amy had a better relationship with her dad and she even moved in with him for a while. The book was very entertaining.
ReplyDeleteThe book was so interesting. amy changed so much on the biggining to the end. i just really like the last chapter it's a sad ending. well i have alot of favorite parts of the book. like how amy describes herself on how she dislikes some parts of her body. also on how amy was changing on osna'ts room ,amy putting on her BITCH! lettering shorts while osna't was in the room..hahha hilarious. i also like the part where she was on the airplane and very scared to ride, she might think someone might high jack the airplane or bomb it ..haha .but nothing compares to the last chapter where amy has change alot with her father, family and friends. i like how amy and her father had a strong relation with each other also how amy and avi with there relationship its sad thats hes in the military but thats life . i really like the book it's funny and interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe book was pretty good! It had reallly funny parts in it. like when Amy, O'Snot and her friends went to the dance and some not cool guy was creeping up on Amy from the other side of the room. And the other part was when Amy was changing and instead of Osnat being in the room, it was Avi instead. That surprised me. Made me laugh. oh and also the part when the had a challenge to shave the sheep. haha i would wanna try that out.
ReplyDelete~ The book turned out to be really interesting! I liked it even though nothing supernatural happened. But what got me really into the book was the whole she's the stereotype kind of person. She believed that Israel was some warzone when clearly she didn't know jack squat about her fathers homeland. My favorite part of the book would be the disco scene. Where Amy decided to go clubbing with her cousins friends and turned out to be a disaster for everyone.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the book was good. I think that my favorite part would have been the beginning because of the story turned out to be. She didn't want anything to ruin her summer and then next thing you know the tables are turned. Her mother tells her that her father will be taking her to Israel. It's funny how she kept thinking that she was going to the place where war happens. I agree with Kenn, she is a stereotype. I would share this book with my girlfriend because she would probably be interested in it since she doesn't know her father.
ReplyDeleteI think one of my favorite parts was when Amy juust finished showering and didnt have her clothes which was in O'snats room, which little did she know Avi was in there laying on the bed. Then once she dropped her towel, Avi was right there just watching. So she FREAAAKED out and went crazy for a little! haha idk that was funnny to me. lucky Avi, he got a free show! haha jk, but yeah that was one of my favorite parts around that area of the book.
ReplyDeleteFor me I really think the 1st chapter of the book was my favorite part because it was so funny because of Amy. Amy was being such a brat about going Israel. Amy kept complaining how bad it was going to be once she gets there , Like Israel is a War Zone. Plus her friend Jessica is telling her that Tel Aviz is the best place to go shopping and Amy should be happy that there would be good stuff there. Plus Amy is also worried about her boyfriend who is off to camp, Amy has so much things to worried about. She should be happy shes going to a beautiful place. But Chapter one is my favorite part of the book because its funny and says a lot about Amy.
ReplyDeletemy favorite part is when she went out to the clubs with her prims.she was just chilling and the waitter gave her a drink.there vwas a guy standing across from her.it was th guy that got her the drink.and the guy came uo to her.he was behind her and he lick her ear.he freaked out.if i was her i would have punch the guy.that really sick stuff.but if was a gorgeous girl i wlould lick her ear back.hahahahahahaha
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the book was when Amy was changing while Avi was in the room. It was funny because she thought that it was O'snot. That was the part that made the book more interesting to read. This book isn't for any kids because it has some things that are bad. It's a nice book tho. It's mainly about teenage drama. It's also funny and romantic.
ReplyDeleteMy first favorite part of the book was when Amy got out of the shower and came into the bedroom and thought that O'snat was in the room and wanted to show off her body so she took her towel off and little did she know when she turned to look who it was she saw Avi sitting on O'snat's bed instead of her aha oh man when I read that I really laughed it was so hilarious.
ReplyDeleteMy other favorite part was when Avi was telling Amy that he liked her and how he was just opened up to her about his brother and his family. I liked that they somewhat were together. reading those parts just melted my heart. it was so cute. I'm such a sap for this hopeless romantic story.
It's a really good book I think people who like funny and drama books should read this.
My favorite part of the book is the cover. I thought it was just a typical book, whatever and stuff. It looked like some teenage book which thirteen year old girls would be excited to read. Boy, I was wrong. It's not for thirteen year old's (mentally). Some scenes were too intense. I liked the embarrassing moment Amy had(SPOILER ALERT IF YOU DIDN'T READ)when she finished a trip to the bath and went to her bedroom. She quickly undressed thinking O'Snat was the only one in the room. Avi was there instead of O'snat...oh snap.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the book is when Avi and Amy kiss! That was the turning point of the book and it really made me more interesting. When They separated from the others I was drawn in to the book. I knew something is gonna happen and it was a wow moment for me. I think I suggest people who love romantic books to read this. If your really bored you should try reading it. You may never know if you love the book or not.
ReplyDeleteThis was a really good book. I like the beginning parts, all the irony and the funny parts of the story. I figured that this book is basically a common love story type of book. I encourage other students to read this book. One funny parts of the book was when Amy went to her room after a shower and she thought O'Snat was in the room. Then she got naked and omg. It wasn't O'Snat, it was Avi. Lol. Also the part when she fell on Avi. That was funny. I also though that this trip of her has taught her so much.
ReplyDeleteWell i really don't have a favorite part in this book. But this book was really nice because in the begging of the story she hated the dad but they got closer because of how the dad treated her. And in the end she wants to back in Israel. And she learned about her family, heritage, land full of rich history, and love.
ReplyDeleteActually I really enjoyed the book(: I really looked forward to reading it after the first chapter. My favorite part was when Amy met her grandmother safta. Well when she saw that she was sick and she ran out wasn't the part, but when she came back and actually had a conversation with her. If I was Amy I would cherish moments like that because they don't last forever. If I was to have another grandmother out their I would be stoked to meet her(: She may not have been their through her whole life but everyone deserves chances(: Overall The whole book was really good I enjoyed it. the person who I would want to introduce the book to is Other students who may have this class in the long run. It's really good for teens, because Amy is like our age and some of us go through the things she goes through(:
ReplyDeleteI would have to agree with everyone else. I really liked this book, I found it a very interesting read. Her dad may not have been there her whole life, but I believe in second chances and that everyone deserves one.
ReplyDeleteI really like the book that we had read for our fourth quarter. it was interesting, i liked every part of the reading. i think the whole story is great. im happy that she gave her dad a second chance to make it up on there quality time together. to me every one should have a chance.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part in this book would be when Amy and the others go camping. A lot of secrets were revealed and many of them had gotten closer. They also got to see they're friend who went off to the military. Amy and Avi finally saw eye to eye and admitted that they have strong feelings for each other. The crazy part was that they just decided to see how things went because Avi told her that he would be leaving off to the military too.
ReplyDeleteI would recommend this book to my best friend because she too is also going through the same thing as Amy was and I believe she would learn a lot from reading this book.
I don't really have a favorite part in the book. It was good though. It related to us teenagers in the way we act and how we look at life. I love how she explained her father, friends, and even family. Overall, the book was a great time killer. It had a lot of funny parts that had me laughing and thinking like, "I can't believe she just said that."
