It's getting really exciting! Someone is reading Dead Was So Last Year. Would you have walked into an interview and start cleaning the place. What if your boss is invisible? I guess it really shows the real prospect employee would do even if the boss is not watching.

How about the book that Michael is reading, The Girl Death Left Behind. Talk about depression! What would you do if stayed behind when the rest of the family went on a picnic then later you find out that they all died of a car accident and you are the only living family member? Would you know how to deal with what life is handing you?

How about getting framed for killing your dad? Rachelle is reading Wanted. Imagine being in your dad's car listening to a news about your dad's death and you are the suspect. Would you have driven off and runaway or face what is ahead? What if your mom does not believe you or even the police?

Lots of things to talk about. Well,  Shark readers, continue to tell me more about what's going on in your novels. Make sure to include the title and author of your book. Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Lie : 31-45

This part is basically about Jimmy's best friend named Sean Mayer. Sean was there with Jimmy that night. He knew how everything happened that night and wishes he can go back and change it. Sean's father just bailed him out of jail. When he got home everybody was there waiting for him to come home. Sean then goes and looks for Skylar. Once he found her, they started talking about Jimmy and if they said anything to the police. They just kept talking about that night. She then tells Sean about her plan to go visit Jimmy. Sean doesn't know what to do anymore, so before he went to sleep, he just thought about all the memories he had with Jimmy and started crying.

  2. In pages 31-45, Nick is going to meet Mrs. Wilson's’ sister, Catherine, with Tom and Myrtle (Mrs. Wilson). They go up to her apartment and it has a small living room, small bedroom, a small dining room, and a bath. Mrs. Wilson invited the McKee’s to join them. Nick had only been drunk once in his life. Today would be his second time. Catherine was a slender, solid, thirty year old. While they were drinking, Catherine and Nick began talking about Tom and Myrtle’s marriages and how they can’t stand the person they’re married to. Then someone suggested that they should divorce their partners and marry each other instead. Catherine then said that Tom’s wife was a catholic and did not believe in divorce. Daisy was not a catholic, which means Tom has been lying to them.

After a few meaningless lines, we end up at a part where Tom and Myrtle are arguing as to why she can’t say Daisy’s name. She begins to Yell, “Daisy! Daisy! Daisy!” Mr. McKee was asleep earlier but was awoken by this. As she was about to say her name again, Tom punched Myrtle in the nose. It broke and bled. Mr. McKee then walked out and grabbed Nick’s hat. He followed him out. When they entered the elevator, Mr. McKee said that he should have lunch with him sometime. This part confuses me this. It just skips to a part that says, “ . . . I was standing beside his bed and he was sitting up between the sheets, clad in his underwear, with a great portfolio in his hands. “Beauty and the beast . . . Loneliness . . . Old Grocery Horse . . . Brooklyn Bridge . . .” Then he was laying half asleep in the Pennsylvania Train Station waiting for the four o’ clock train. I don’t know what to think of this. Maybe they had more than just lunch. It’s weird. I think he's gay. That’s the end of Chapter 2. The book is getting more and more interesting.

  3. On the next pages of “The Outsiders”, pages 31-45, Ponyboy and his friends are still at the theatre. Ponyboy was with Cherry at the foodstand getting cola and popcorn. Then cherry asked if Dallas is an okay person to Ponyboy. He replied with “he’s not dangerous, he’s okay.” She then asked about Johnny, if he’s been hurt bad sometime. Ponyboy said then more like scared and hurt.
Then he explains a little why johnny got more cautious now. It was because of the Soc’s. It was four months ago. Ponyboy and his gang were walking from the gas station to the open field. When they found Johnny beaten up badly. Then as Johnny came to, he said a couple of Soc’s in a blue mustang jumped. They were all pissed at that time. That’s why Johnny is so cautious now that he carries a switchblade now. The Greasers then walk Cherry and Marcia home, and Socs Bob Sheldon and Randy Adderson see them and think the boys are trying to pick up their girlfriends. Cherry and Marcia prevent a fight by leaving with Bob and Randy willingly.
Thats as much as I got so far now. intill next time

Okay, in my last blog I talked about Christopher. So today, Ill talk about Personal Essay. After group meetings are over, each of them would have to write a personal essay that relates to the meeting they just had. Later, they would have to turn it in to their counselor, Shirley. In today’s essay, they would write about their families and childhood. Okay we’ll go in order starting off with Jason, Olivia, Christopher Kelly and then Eva.

Jason: I believe that Jason was pretty much going all out, due to the fact that he started cussing and saying how everyone has messed-up families. Later, I guessed he calm down a bit. At the same time, he was still cussing because when he explained his parents it was at all nice. Except for the part, where his dad was an ex-Navy Seal with a million of medals. As for his mom, she makes fancy Jell-O molds and tutor kids.

Olivia: She thinks that everyone in her family is perfect except her, because every one has high position. So for her to not feel like an underdog, she would have to work as twice as hard then everyone else.

Christopher: He is a mommy’s boy. His mom is like a bear because she gets over protective of Chris.

Kelly: She hates having twin little sister that have syndrome due to that no pays attention to her. And always has to take care of them and make them happy at the point were they can get whatever they want.

Eva: She is still in the depression of her lost. So, basically she really hadn’t had a childhood. She was at the point where she had to grow up and start taking care of herself.

It was mid afternoon and drank water from the lake. There were birds around the area and other animals. He thought that when he crashed there in the lake there would be a rescuers looking for him and would be safe. He just waited for them and stood near a pine tree and is thinking of what to do. The next day in the town newspaper on the front page says "Local Boy Pulls Missing Boy Out of Water". As Brady went through out town and his school he was treated like a hero.

  8. On pages 31-45 of the book "Dead is so Last Year", Daisy goes to the job interview for the diner place in Nightshade. She goes in there and no one was there. She just starts cooking and cleaning in there and suddenly a voice said, "You're hired". The owner of the diner place named Slim was there all along. He was just watching. What was kind of weird about it was that the book said he was invisible, so i don't know if he was literally invisible or just in the dark.

She just started working on the spot and then suddenly her boyfriend Ryan and his football team mates walk in and order. Ryan was surprised to find her working there. But while they were there, someone grabbed Daisy's wrist and was trying to be all over her. I thought Ryan was gonna beat him up, but he didn't. This book is kind of getting weirder and weirder, but it is really interesting and i look forward to reading it more. I'll find out as i read on through the book.

  9. The next pages on "The Girl Death Life Behind" just got really depressing, but first before the depressing part happened.
Beth's family was going on a picnic. Beth couldn't go, because she got a flu from a bug bite. When they left, Beth went to sleep and woke up. Then suddenly two policemen and the dad's secretary went was knocking on the door. They told her, her family crashed. They took her to the hospital as soon as possible. She couldn't see them because they needed one her relatives to be there also. So she called her aunt Camille to come over and she did after several hours. Then the doctor talked to them and told them that Beth's family came in DOA (death on arrival).

Beth went through a big depression. She misses her family and remembers everything that she saw before the her family crashed. Her aunt Camille's finally arrived. Then they planned what to do for the funeral, Beth didn't want to talk about. She doesn't he family being put in a dark hole on the ground. Teddy tried to make her feel better, so did Terri but it didn't seem to work. She still really sad and couldn't even eat at their table. She stayed inside her room all them time.

  11. "Eragon"
In chapters 31- 45 Eragon & his companions just found the Strange blue stone. They didn't know what it was. They thought i was something worth of a trade. through out the chapter they talked about how much the strange stone could be worth and what it was. they new it was something magical, but they didn't know what it could do. Eragon and his companions were also being chased by urgals. The urgals obviously want to take the stone from Eragon. He is probably curious of what they want to stone for. So he kept it to see what it could be. Eragon is now going around seeing who could know something about this stone.

Eragon is soon going to learn that the Strange blue stone is actually a dragon egg & that the forces of evil want it such as Galbatorix the evil warlord. So far i like how the book it filling in the confusing stuff from the movie.

Scene: May 3, 2008 Garvin High School .
So they story continue with the investigation . Angela Dash(reporter) announced that Christy Bruter captain of the softball team has been a victim and was appeared to be a direct target . Amy Bruter ( Christy's mom ) states that he bumped her and then turned around and said , "You have been on the list for a long time." Christy replies with, " What list?" and then he shoots her . That started to make Valerie think , was there ever a time where she have thought about killing herself . Before she went to school , she thought about all the people who she knew so well and are now complete strangers . Like Allen Moon , who looked directly into a camera and said, " I hope they put Valerie away for life for what she did." Also , Carmen Chiarro , who quoted in a magazine , "I don't know why my name was even on that list, I didn't even know who Nick and Valerie were before that day." From that point it goes from the story to Valerie thinking about how people wouldn't know Nick . That he moved there freshmen year and how he was quite, skinny, with bad clothes and dirty hair . But it is a fact that Carmen knew her . They had went to elementary school together. It mentions that Carmen was good friends with Mr. Quarterback who would always try to make Nick's life miserable as much as he can . Then it shoots back into they story . Valerie starts to ask herself if Carmen and Allen would be there and if they would be looking for her . Then the story go to Valerie and the mom in the car driving to school . They pull up to the school and she sees all the people . She sees even some of her old friends . Stacey and Duce who are still hanging out in their old hangout spot . Right away , Valerie notices that there are two police cruisers parked next to the school . Her mother just lets her know that it is just for her safety . She gets out of the car and starts walking down the pavement , but she hears a voice and stops . She turns around and it is Stacey and Duce holding hands . Then their friend David came around and hugged Valerie . All of them start talking about they didn't know that she was coming back today and if her leg hurts from when she got shot . They also talk about if she has been to Nick's grave or in fact has she been to anyone's grave . Stacey elbowed Duce for asking those questions and they Stacey, Duce, and David head to class . Valerie began to make her way to the guidance counselor(Mrs. Tate). Mrs. Tate starts to show her around school and let her know about all the safety precautions that taken place . Mrs. Tate then took her into her office and starts talking to her about if she is still thinking about going to college . Valerie lets Mrs. Tate know that she wasn't planning on it . Her future was already made for her . She was known as " The Girl Who Hates Everyone " after that was said . Mrs. Tate gives her advice on not to give up and that she shouldn't think of herself like that .

Well that is how my story is going . Until next time : )

Once Alice had parked her car, she waited for awhile. Then, she got thirsty, went down and went to buy her favorite milk shake. She went back to the Corvette and waited for her dad.

She doesn't really touch anything in the car because his dad is very sensitive when it comes to his cars. Now, she had the chance to so she turned on the radio as she waited for his dad. News about a kid murdering his dad in their condo came up, and thought about them for that moment. An email was sent to her mom, when Alice haven't sent her one lately. The police are now looking for Alice. They mentioned the Corvette she drove; it's color and it's plate number. She had no idea how that even happened and paused with a shock on her face. She cried herself out and called her mom to double check. When she called her mom though, police were with her and on the phone as well. Alice's mom really thought Alice had killed her dad and Alice couldn't believe her mom believes that she really did kill her own father. She then hung up, went back to the Corvette, and drove off of the milk shake place.

  14. (True Believer) pg. 31-45
On pages 31 through 45,La Vaughn continues to have flashbacks about her childhood with Jody, Annie, and Myrtle. La Vaughn who smelled chlorine, asked Jody about the time when they were younger when there was a fire in the neighborhood. Jody and La Vaughn were just among the onlookers of the scene and they saw each other while Jody was helping a little kid up. La Vaughn realized that he smelled like chlorine and Jody explained that he just came back from swimming. When they were younger, Annie wasn't really fond of Jody because she thinks that Jody caused her to not have parents. Myrtle on the other hand was kind of fond of Jody.

After remembering the smell of chlorine and her moment with Jody when they were younger, La Vaughn decides to join a Grammar Build-Up Club to help her prepare for college and to improve her vocabulary so that she is able to get the same education as other students who received private education. The teacher for the class named Dr. Rose is the type of teacher who is willing to do whatever she can to to help send all of her students to college. She encourages them through slogans and mottos. At the same time, La Vaughn is beginning to realize the struggle and the hardships that she has to go through through the grammar class, keeping up her grades, and with Jody coming back into her life and also with her friends Annie and Myrtle slipping away.

However, La Vaughn is able to receive hope by painting a mural on her wall of a bird and also by Jody coming back to her life; therefore, her plans for college have become more intensified.

Miles them mentions that she was the one who was a B. Later that day in first period, Miles took a nap and woke up to Alaska saying "WAAAKE UP, LITTLE PUHHHHDGIE!" as if nothing even happened, which explains Alaska's unpredictability. In the "House of the old", old people get pampered by the volunteers or by the workers. One day Jonas was volunteering there and as he got there, he knew where to go and who to help. It didn't matter who you helped there, all that mattered is that you were doing what you were supposed to be doing. But as Jonas got there the first thing he had to do was help an old lady take a shower. He knew this lady, because he had helped her before. As Jonas was soaking and scrubbing her down, the old lady started a conversation about someone who just got released recently. Jonas was very fascinated about what she was talking about. Jonas was always curious about being "Released". As she was telling him who was released Jonas pointed out that he knew the person. Okay, continuing from the last part. It was Katelyn's rosary the next day and everyone seems to be wondering what really happen to Katelyn and the twins were really into it to look for the truth. The Ryan's felt really bad about what happen to Katelyn so Valerie baked Katelyn's favorite cupcakes to bring to the Katelyn's rosary. Valerie had no time to go there to deliver it so she asked the twins. The twins refuse to but they had no choice but to do it cause it was for Katelyn. Hayley wore her nice winter clothes and Taylor had to wear her purple ugly scarf to show to her parents that what her auntie made them last Christmas is valuable to them.
The twins then head over to the Berkley's to deliver the cupcakes. They knocked and Sandra opened the door for them. Everyone seems so sad and Katelyn's grandma seems to be hating on Hayley and Taylor. They stayed in for a couple of minutes and they passed by the stairs which lead to Katelyn's room. Taylor had an idea that maybe the answers to her question was there. They went up and search the room. Taylor was searching the bathroom and Hayley was searching the room. Hayley then came across Katelyn's laptop and she started feeling it. She started to feel that Katelyn was chatting to someone, some guy maybe, a boyfriend? she thought to herself.
All of a sudden Sandra pushed the door open and saw the girls in he daughter's room. She freaked out and told the girls to leave. The girls ditched and when they got home Taylor seems to be missing her scarf. she had left it in the Berkley's house and Hayley said that now they have a reason to go back to the house to check Katelyn's room again.

Continuing from last time. The story is still talking about all of the other characters. Its is like introducing more characters into the story. It started when daisy gets off of work and gets a discount on the pies from her so called "invisible boss" Mr. Slim. I am starting to think he really is invisible. She then goes to a beach party wearing a bikini. The same guy who harassed Daisy the last time came up to her and invaded her space. His name was Wolfgang. Suddenly Ryan comes in and I thought he was gonna kill him. Ryan gets in to a fight with Wolfgang's friends. I thought it was gonna get kind off intense, but it didn't. But yeah, thats how the story ended.

  19. Apparently I had to switch books so I am currently reading "Harry Potter Chambers of Secrets". On pages 31-45, Harry meets Dobby,a House elf, when he has to stay in his room while his Uncle has a business dinner downstairs. Dobby warns Harry not to go back to Hoqwarts because if Harry does, he will be in mortal danger. Harry realized that Dobby has intercepted Ron and Hermione's letters to make Harry believe he had no friends. When Harry refuses to promise not to return to Hogwarts, Dobby spontaneously goes downstairs to the kitchen and levitates a dessert then drops it on the floor. Immediately, Uncle Vernon storms into the kitchen, raging with anger, showing him a letter that just arrived. The letter states that the Improper Use of Magic Office found out that a charm was utilized in the house and that underage wizards are not permitted to perform spells outside of school. Any further spells commited may lead to expulsion from Hogwarts. Since Harry's Uncle and Aunt were oblivious, they were devastated. Uncle Vernon harshly locks up Harry in a tiny basement with bars on the windows.
